Volunteers with Pontoon or Boat NeededThe Staples Sportsmen’s Club sponsors a Fishing Day for the Staples/Motley fourth graders. They purchase fishing rods for each child and supply the bait.  The Staples Lions Club sponsors a lunch for the kids after fishing.  The event will be held at Camp Shamineau on Friday May 17 from 9 am to noon.  They are asking for volunteers with boats or pontoons to come to the camp at 9 am. Helpers will be onboard, they just need boats with drivers. Hope you can help – it is a fun morning for all!

Floodplain Mapping for Lake Shamineau The floodplain map for Morrison County, including Lake Shamineau, will be final on July 31, 2024. Ceil Strauss, State Floodplain (NFIP) Manager, Ecological and Water Resources Division, presented information at the Spring 2023 membership meeting on the FEMA floodplain mapping. Information links:
